I am an Adult Child of two Alcoholic parents and I'm really struggling. I also have an eating problem (compulsive overeater) which I attend (sometimes) OA 12-step meetings along with Al-Anon. I'm stuck and tired of doing this. Please help. It just seems like I don't care about anything anymore since I just turned 60 and I'm feeling like God isn't there anymore (30+ years as a Christian). I know I haven't worked the steps and I don't seem to have any discipline to even try. Is there hope SOMEWHERE? Are there meetings here in Sacramento, California that might help? My own instinct is that if addiction is an issue, it makes sense to deal with that first. So, I'd suggest getting to some A.A. meetings if you can.
